Rapper Shyne Granted October 6th Release From Prison

Former Bad Boy artist, Jamal Barrow, also known as Shyne, but now going by the name Moses Levi will receive two and a half years of post- release supervision stemming from his 2001 conviction in the Club New York shooting.

His lawyer says he is about 90 percent of the way home now. His release date is set for October 6th.

Shyne will serve the rest of his sentence at the Sullivan Correctional Facility in Fallsburg, New York.

He originally was found guilty of first-degree assault after a woman in the club was shot. During the incident Shyne brandished a gun and fired shots into the air- he was arrested with the gun in his waist band.
