Charlie Wilson and Friends @ The Paradise Theater - Bronx, NY Saturday Oct. 24th

SoulSummer.com and On The Rocks Entertainment present Charlie Wilson (from The Gap Band) and Friends, Saturday October 24th, 2009 @ The Paradise Theater in The Bronx.

I'm letting you know about this one in advance.

Save your money, clear your calendar and get a babysitter(if this applies to you). Uncle Charlie is coming to town and that means a lot of star power is going to be in the Bronx that night.

It's at the Paradise Theater, referred to by Seth Kugel of The New York Times as "the prettiest concert space in the Bronx". If he made it there, you need to make it there.

Charlie Wilson and Friends
Saturday October, 24th
The Paradise Theater
2403 Grand Concourse, Bronx, N.Y.
718-220-1015

Tickets are available through the Paradise Theater Box Office or Ticketmaster.

UPDATE: Universal Republic artist K'Jon has been added as the opener for the show.

You may recall we blogged about him prior to the release of his album this summer. (Do a search on on this site for the name "K'Jon" and all the info you need will be here.)

The Paradise Theater

Charlie Wilson at the Black Family Reunion in D.C. back in August.

Here's some rough video footage from the show. It may be a little hard to see him at times, but, you can see the turnout for his show!

That's right J. My contributor Big D is always in the BX and put me up on the promotion, so I had to check into it and put it on the blog. I'm glad a concert like this is going to be in the Bronx instead of having to go all the way downtown. Thanks for coming through to the Digital Soul Experience, J.

How is the Paradise Theater going to open this time? Last time I went there for a concert featuring, Stephanie Mills and The Whispers. It would be good if it stayed open longer than one concert.
