Boeing 787 Dreamliner Photo Harriet BaskasThree years behind schedule and costing over $32 billion, Boeing has finally delivered the 787 Dreamliner, the latest in premium air travel. The plane offers taller entry ways, larger windows and a more ergonomic cabin.

All Nippon Airways took delivery of the plane yesterday, it will be flown away today shortly after 6:00AM (PT). 55 planes will be delivered  to All Nippon Airways over the next six years.

Don't expect one in the US until 2012.

Virgin Galactic's First Feathered Flight... Filmed

Watch as Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic takes SpaceShipTwo to an altitude of 51,000 feet and drops it back to earth.

The point was to allow the aircraft to softly descend back to earth in a "feathered" position. This will be important once Virgin Galactic begins taking passengers to the edge of outerspace...daily.

The feathered flight position will be used by SpaceShipTwo to reenter the Earth's atmosphere.

Flights begin next year from the New Mexico, the cost approximately $200,000.

Improved Cuisine at 30,000 Feet

It's common knowledge that the food on most flights is bland and difficult to enjoy. Much of this due to the difficulty preparing meals on a jet at an extremely high altitude(they're pre-packaged and have to be heated at preset time) but, the main problem is... taste buds work differently at higher altitudes.

Because the sense of taste isn't as discerning while flying, food has traditionally been spicy and wine choice

Delta realized this problem existed and sought the help of experts Bernstein(food) and Robinson(wine) to help them offer better fare aboard flights.

If you fly first-class you might have to begin booking your flights earlier to guarantee a good seat.

Airlines are beginning to cut down on the amount of seating they make available for first-class because passengers want seats that cost less.

Fewer first-class seats are being sold.

Look for "premium economy"(economy with more leg room) to catch on.
