Sprinkles will open their first ice cream parlor on Friday(May 24th), in Beverly Hills(next door to Sprinkles Cupcakes).  They'll offer handcrafted ice cream in flavors like Red Velvet, Coffee Fudge Almond and Cap'n Crunch. You may have it scooped into a Red Velvet cone, piled in a dish with homemade sauces and toppings... or with one of their tasty gourmet cookies.

Rapper Heavy D Dead at 44

Early Tuesday, Rapper Heavy D(Dwight Arrington Myers) was found on the sidewalk outside of his Beverly Hills home.

The rapper was rushed to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead at 1pm according to TMZ. 

He was 44.

Beverly Hills Gives Good Will Ambassador The Boot

Amy Powell reports times are so hard that Beverly Hills has had to let one of their own go.

After a decade of greeting tourists and shoppers along Rodeo Drive, Gregg Donovan was given his walking papers because there is no money in Beverly Hills... for him.

He was also told, by the Beverly Hills Conference and Visitors Bureau, to surrender his rights as the "Ambassador of Beverly Hills".

Donovan is famous for his greeting, "Welcome to Beverly Hills, you have arrived!".

Perhaps he'll go to Hollywood, Venice Beach, Burbank or Watts.

LA: Celebrity Hair Stylist to Stars Charged with Fraud

Beverly Hills hair stylist Maria Gabriella Perez was arrested by Secret Service agents in her Los Angeles salon for fraud.

She allegedly used the credit card numbers of various celebrity clients like Liv Tyler and Jennifer Anniston, to make purchases totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars.

ASCAP to Honor Dr. Dre with Founders Award

Dr. Dre will be presented with the ASCAP Founders Award during the performing rights organization's 23rd annual Rhythm and Soul Music Awards.

The annual gathering honors songwriters and publishers of the years most performed ASCAP songs on the R&B/Hip-Hop, Rap and Gospel charts.

The ceremony happens June 25th at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles.

An Original Energizer Bunny For Sale

There were four Energizer Bunny mascots used in the popular battery commercials during the 90's(first airing in 1989). Two worked fine and the other two never worked at all.

One of them will be auctioned off April 10th of this month. This is one of the two most used mascots during 11 years of filming, before its "retirement".

The auction happens in Beverly Hills, CA. Opening bid starts at $10,000.

Missoni Opens Flagship Store Rodeo

Angela Missoni collaborated with architects to create the woven exterior look of the Beverly Hills store.

Missoni has opened a Beverly Hills flagship store at 469 N. Rodeo Drive and has wasted no time in fitting in with the Southern California sunny weather lifestyle.

The new store was designed to take advantage of the sunny weather, by allowing lot of natural light to filter in while, enhancing the architectural design of the neighborhood.

The stores exterior was created in Italy then shipped and assembled in Los Angeles. The idea is to give the store the look of fabric woven around the building.

Architects Patrick Kinmonth and Antonio Manfreda created the 7,500 square foot store.
