Mike Tyson's Stage Debut in "Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth -- Live on Stage" in Las Vegas

Mike Tyson will star in "Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth -- Live on Stage" at MGM Grand in Las Vegas(NV).

The one-man show is set to premiere with a six day shakedown run April 13th through the 18th in the Hollywood Theater.  

Director and co-writer(with Tyson's wife, Kiki) Randy Johnson says, we can expect an authentic show and "mimicking boxing would be very cheesy."

Tyson appeared in "Tyson" in 2009; a feature documentary about his life.

'Joe Frazier: When the Smoke Clears' is a documentary about the legendary boxer Joe Frazier.

It takes us from his birth place of Beaufort, South Carolina to the boxing ring in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

We learn in this documentary some of the personal hardships that Frazier had to endure on the road to becoming the great fighter he was in the ring.

It's important to understand, as a heavyweight Joe Frazier was one of the strongest and toughest fighters of his time. His style was similar to Rocky Marciano's in some ways. He moved forward and walked his opponents down. He wasn't finesse, he was "aggression with a hard left hook attached". His attitude and demeanor could be compared to another Philadelphia fighter, Bernard Hopkins. 

People often thought of Joe as bitter, but in the big scheme of things... he had many reasons to be. The Rocky film borrowed heavily from his life without crediting him, to add insult to injury, the City of Philadelphia erected a statue of Sylvester Stallone instead of doing so for Joe. These sorts of slights often happened to him and make his outlook more understandable.

He was an American, a champion... a man.

16-Year-Old Boxer Claressa Shields Hopes For An Olympic Shot

Amateur boxer Claressa Shields(16) plans to someday compete in the Olympic games before turning professional.

Shields trains hard with her coach Jason Crutchfield at Berston Field House when she's not attending high school during the day in Flint, Michigan.

She was introduced to the sport by her father.

Floyd Mayweather Sentenced to 90 Days in Jail

Unbeaten boxer Floyd "Money" Mayweather suffered a loss at the hands of Las Vegas, Nevada judge Melissa Saragosa when he was sentenced to 90 days in jail. 

The punishment came as result of his pleading guilty to a reduced battery domestic violence and harassment charge. Mayweather must also perform 100 hours community service... and pay a fine.

Mayweather is alleged to have hit his ex-girlfriend last year.

Former Boxing Champion Smokin' Joe Frazier Under Hospice Care

The former heavyweight boxing champion Smokin' Joe Frazier was diagnosed with lung cancer a few weeks ago and his condition has worsened.

He's under hospice care in Philadelphia.

Frazier's a class act and he's definitely in the prayers of DSE!

Giant Muhammad Ali Art Installation to be Unveiled at L.A. Live

A large-scale art installation, depicting boxing legend Muhammad Ali, will be unveiled on March 25, at the Nokia Plaza at L.A. Live.

The artwork created by Michael Kalish titled, "reALIze," is made of approximately 1,300 speed bags, arranged to create a likeness of Ali.

Floyd Mayweather Arrested on Misdemeanor Charge in Vegas

Boxer Floyd Mayweather was arrested on a warrant for misdemeanor battery stemming from a confrontation with a security guard outside of his house last month.

The confrontation was over a parking violation.

The guard alleges Mayweather poked him in the cheek repeatedly.

Mayweather's attorney is arguing that his client should have been issued a summons to appear in court instead of a warrant for his arrest being issued.

Mayweather is free on bail.

HBO Boxing: Mayweather vs Mosley Predictions

This fight is going to be hard to call. Shane's left hand is going to be the factor and Floyd's ability to use power and speed will be watched tonight.

Floyd has the speed to get in inside or move around Shane's jab, but, when he sticks him with a punch it better hurt Mosley or it's going to be a long night.

This is a Pay-Per-View fight, so don't look for it to be on regular HBO... this weekend.

I predict Mayweather will win by TKO in the middle rounds or it will go the distance with Mosley winning by decision.

Sugar Shane Mosley and Andre Berto are interviewed about their January 30th fight airing on HBO.

This is going to be a big fight. Both fighters like to get busy on the inside and have great defensive skills. If you've seen Berto he has stamina and knockout power, while Mosley possesses the same skills at 38.

Mosley does have a height and reach advantage... he may actually have a speed advantage too!

It's hard to call this one. I'm going with Mosley in a 12 round decision.

Editors note: I've watched Berto fight many times and have to admit, he is one of those throw back fighters who knows how to work inside, uses his feet well, has good balance, a solid chin and power. I like the dude! At times during this fight I'm going to be pulling for both of them.

I'm hoping this is this decades Leonard-Hearns or Leonard-Hagler; a gritty, hard working power puncher with finesse(Berto) against a finesse fighter with power(Mosley).

After seeing Paul Williams struggle through that last bout, I'm looking forward to seeing some good scientific boxing. ~ Martin Cameron Smith

Pacquiao vs. Cotto HBO Highlights

Pacman earned a place in boxing in this fight. By defeating Cotto, not only has he set himself up for a rematch(and more money), but, he also proved that he has the power in his punches to dominate his weight class.

This gives him the leverage to make any fight he wants. Shane Mosley or Floyd Mayweather will have to consider fighting Pacquiao if they want a huge fight. The sport needs it... and so does Vegas.
