Artist Kristen Cuming was commissioned by Jelly Belly to recreate artwork using candy to add to their 'Jelly Belly Masterpiece Confectionary' collection. Cumings recreated classic art by creating murals with 9,000 to 12,000 Jelly beans. It took the artist 50 to 60 hours to make.

Gumball Industry Not Looking So Sweet

The gumball industry is facing some of the same misfortune that may classic American products have - they are being discountinued or nearing the end of production. Sales from machines have been sluggish and overall gum sales are down - the rising price of sugar hasn't helped.

If it were not for sugarless gum, sales would be even lower. While the numbers are not anemic, they are trending downward from those normally seen in the past.

Halloween at the White House with the Obamas

President Obama, the First Lady Michelle and Michelle's mother Marian Robinson invited children of military families, the Boys and Girls Club and local elementary school students to the White House on Saturday for a special Halloween Party.  

The Obamas handed out treats on the White House steps as the parents took plenty of photos.
