It's official, comedian and Oscar nominated actor Eddie Murphy will host "The 84th Annual Academy Awards."
Murphy was selected by producers Brett Ratner and Don Mischer.
They presented their choice to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Tuesday, who then signed off on his hosting.
The show will air live on Sunday, February 26, 2012 from the Kodak Theater on ABC.
This year I won't be so quick to turn off the television...best choice ever!
