REWIND: "The Monkees" TV Show - Intro(Open and End Credits)

"The Monkees" was a TV sitcom about a struggling rock band in the 60's.

It starred Micky Dolenz, Davy Jones(1945-2012), Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork. 

The show aired from September 1966 through March 1968 on NBC.

On Wednesday, cast member Davy Jones(David Thomas Jones) suffered a heart attack at age 66.

He was pronounced dead at a hospital in Florida, according to CNN.

The Legendary funk musician Jimmy Castor of The Jimmy Castor Bunch died on Monday at age 64 in Las Vegas.

The cause of his death is unknown at this time, according to Prefix Mag.

Castor's music has been sampled by hip hop artist Eric B. and Rakim, Kanye West, N.W.A, and many more over the years.

The death of three of four women in Detroit(MI) have been linked to an escort ad on 'backpage.com'.

Their bodies were found stuffed in the trunk of a car.

Heavy D's Cause of Death Revealed

Rapper/actor Heavy D(Dwight Arrington Myers 1967-2011).On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Coroner Office revealed rapper/actor Heavy D died of a pulmonary embolism caused by blood clogs in his legs.

This health issue usually happens when travelling on long flights and the rapper had just returned from Europe.

He also had a history of heart disease according to TMZ.

His death is classified as "natural".

Heavy D died on November 9, 2011.

Rooney was a writer, but best known for his commentaries at the end of "60 minutes" on CBS.
