Diddy Lays Out Details of Interscope Deal

Sean Combs will release future music recordings under the Interscope umbrella.

The imprint is officially Bad Boy/Interscope Geffen A&M. It was announced this afternoon - September 29th.

The first release will be the much hyped and long delayed Last Train To Paris.

I told you this joint was not coming out through the Warner system. When he pushed that Dirty Money and said he was taking his time, then announced a 2010 release, it was a wrap. That album was coming out once his deal was finished...elsewhere.

All artists signed to Bad Boy under the Warner Music Group agreement will continue to record under those contracts with Warner Music Group. This was to be expected.

There was no way Atlantic was going to let him take those artists with him. What is unique here is he gives the impression that he will continue to be involved with the careers of those artists. We shall see.

I don't see Atlantic competing against itself in this way. I hear all of that "boutique label talk", but, competition is competition. Look for these artists to be less involved with Bad Boy as the Interscope product begins to be serviced to outlets.

It's a great move on Puff's part. He left Atlantic with some good catalog to exploit. Although B5, Gorilla Zoe, Cherri Dennis, Yung Joc, Danity Kane and Day 26 didn't release classic albums, those artists made a lot of good singles. Many of those singles mark the times they were made in. Look for advertisers and publishers to make use of this.

Now it's time for the second decade of the 2000s to unfold in Sean Combs' career.

Diddy Putting Some Dude Pretending To Be One Of "New York's Finest" In Check

UPDATE: It turns out this dude isn't even a cop. TMZ checked on it and it seems he's just a hater trying to steal some shine for himself.

I heard my dude talking about this incident this morning on The Ed Lover Morning Show. He was there promoting the new Dirty Money single, Angels. If you look to the right you will see links to the Dirty Money singles here. ->

In the video the police are trying to get Diddy and his group to move, only, Puff doesn't know they are police at the time.

He made it clear, he didn't know dude was a cop because the guy had no badge on display. Once he knew they were police the situation de-escalated.
