Lanvin's Alber Elbaz to Produce Clothing Line for H&M

After releasing a tease video earlier in the week, H&M has revealed the designer they will collaborate with this year is Alber Elbaz, artistic director of French design house Lanvin.

Although the details are scarce, it is known that the line will be in stores November 20. There will be an online preview November 1.

H&M has done well with their designer collaborations. Generally, they are high profile enough to bring a customer base to the clothing. This will be the first time they have worked with someone less known to the genera public.

Perhaps this is a move, on H&M's part, to show themselves more as legitimate purveyors of fashion and less as a company trying to make a buck off of big name designers.

Sonia Rykiel H&M Spring 2010 Knitwear Collection

The collection is loaded with hot pink, yellow and black knitwear. Accented with chunky rhinestone jewelry, handbags and shoes.

This is a good look for H&M. I have a few Sonia Rykiel pieces in my wardrobe and I've gotten a lot of wear out of them.
