Video: Blind Benny - "No Honor"

New York City duo Blind Benny serve you a slice of "soft indie rock" opting to move you with lead singer Jade's reverb treated vocal inflections and subtle falsetto, accompanied by Jonathan's melancholy,but rhythmic guitar strumming.

Although, "No Honor"moves through modes similar to Sade's darker material, Blind Benny shift into a higher gear midway through the song, adding syncopation and groove, keeping it youthful and fun.

Expect the band's forthcoming EP during the first week of September.

Rob Janson's convincing lead vocals lend the clever lyrics credibility - you believe he's communicating a message, not just singing a song.

While I do believe it misses a keyboard, it works.

Yes, I like the song as it is, but I keep wondering how it would sound with a soulful electronic remix(Daft Punk, Roy G and the Biv) as an alternate.

Everyday Sunshine documents the rise of South Central Los Angeles-based, black Rock band - Fishbone. The group fought through the crowded 80s L.A. rock scene, influencing many of their peers along the way, only to implode as they reached the threshold of stardom.

I always wondered what happened to Fishbone.

The film examines the complexities and idiosyncracies of the groups members that may have contributed to the band's initial break-up and threaten to stand in the way of there present resolution and reunion.

Honest and thought provoking.

Reminds me of Tears for Fears and Nile Rogers' work with the B52s... with more distortion. 

Energetic, uptempo, solid melodic progressions.

I look forward to hearing them experiment with background arrangements and more dynamic range on the lead vocal.
