Kam Moye is an introspective/retrospective writer in the same way that 50 Cent can sometimes be.

He has a great ability of observing what's going on with himself and around him and putting it into song, better than most - Kam's descriptive and cinematic with his narrative.

His honesty as an artist is one of his strengths. Truthfully, I'm hoping dude has the same impact with fans that The Large Professor had with songs like "Looking At The Front Door" and "Watch Roger Do His Thing".

Because his production/beat selection is so good, he has a really good chance of capturing a wider audience quickly.

This soulful, Apollo Brown produced track, Blue Skies, is an example of Kam being able to become one with the track. He doesn't fight it, instead he becomes another instrument in the mix. He's a musical dude...don't ever sleep on this cat.

North Carolina rapper Kam Moye and longtime producer DJ J.R. have been selected by Complex Magazine and Grey Goose Vodka as the North Carolina representatives for their Rising Icons campaign.

The winner of the campaign gets a live performance on BET's Rising Icons special.

Kam and D.R. will be featured in a Complex Magazine/Grey Goose sponsored showcase held in Charlotte next month.
