The 2012 Grammy Award Nominations Were Announced: Rapper/Producer Kanye West Leads With Seven

Rapper/Producer Kanye West.
The 54th Annual Grammy Award nominations were announced on Wednesday night at a live concert hosted by LLCoolJ in Los Angeles.
Rapper/producer Kanye West lead with seven nominations, followed by Foo Fighters, Adele and Bruno Mars with six nominations and Lil' Wayne had five.
The grammy awards will be presented to the winners on Sunday, February 12, 2012 in Los Angeles.

Georgia Artist Blue Marley Files $15 Mil Lawsuit Against Lil Wayne
Tuesday, August 23, 2011 Augusta, Georgia artist Blue Marley has filed a $15 million lawsuit against Lil Wayne and Young Money Entertainment over copyright infringement, as it relates to the song "Bedrock".
I hope he has a fair chance of winning this case. My suggestion is to take the settlement. If he goes to trial his chances of winning are garbage!
If you recall a few of the major copyright infringement trials involving major singers stealing from local artists, when both songs were played, they sounded exactly alike, used many of the same words and were written about the same subject. All of those plaintiffs lost.
Take the settlement or win a judgement where the judge asks that remaining copies be pulled off of the shelves.

Drakes debut album finally comes out next week so it only seems right that he make the final rounds of press interviews, concert appearances and hype that disc as much as he can.
Anticipation as well as speculation has been high about how well his album will perform in its first week and afterwards. Wayne's in jail, T.I.'s out, Nicki Minaj is on deck and Drake is up at the plate waiting to take his turn to hit a home run for Young Money - it's a different world from a year ago.
Coming off of a series of well received performances and New York's Hot 97 Summer Jam in New Jersey's Meadowlands and article in the New York Times means Drake is being introduced to the pop world.
Clearly there is effort to cross him over and if it works, he's going to have one hell of a summer.
