REWIND: "Jaws" Movie Trailer(1975)

"Jaws" was a thriller about a great white shark which terrorized a beach during the Summer. The movie was directed by Steven Spielberg. There were three sequels, but none involved Spielberg. It premiered on June 20, 1975.

This film was mostly shot on Martha's Vineyard(Mass).

"Cleopatra Jones" starred Tamara Dobson(1947-2006), Bernie Casey, Brenda Sykes and Shelley Winters(1920-2006). This action packed movie directed by Jack Starrett was released when several black films of the same genre in 70's were produced in Hollywood.

Tamara Dobson was a professional model, designer and actress during the 70's. She spent most of her time in NYC, and was best-known for her impeccable taste in fashion!

Movie Trailer: "First Position" - Documentary Opens in Theaters May 4th

This amazing documentary follows six young dancers from around the world, including Michaela DePrince at Alvin Alley American Dance Theater in New York. A 17-year-old ballerina who once lived in an orphanage in Africa, but now lives with her adoptive parents in America.

We see the hard work and daily struggle of each dancer to become ballerinas in a world that excepts no excuses.

"Battleship" Movie Trailer - In Theaters May 18th

"Battleship" is based on a classic combat video game. Naval ships discover an alien armada while on a war game exercise.  This sci-fi thriller stars Alexander Skarsgard, Brooklyn Decker, Liam Neeson and Rihanna as Raikes. Directed by Peter Berg(@peter). Screenplay written by Erich Hoeber and Jon Hoeber.

The cool special effects (in HD) help intensify the big fight on the powerful ocean which makes this film worth seeing!

'Big Fun In The Big Town' (DVD Trailer)

In 1986 Dutch filmmaker, journalist and rap fan, Bran Van Splunteren came to New York City for 7 days to create a documentary that would capture the essence of Hip Hop culture and attempt to explain to others why those who participated in Hip-Hop felt compelled to do so - that film would become 'Big Fun In The Big Town'.

After 25 years the footage he and he is camera crew captured is finally available commercially. I'm familiar with the film and have only viewed it in segments.

Big Fun in the Big Town comes to DVD May 22nd 2012.

"Hotel Transylvania" Movie Trailer

In this animation Dracula(played by Adam Sandler) runs an upscale resort in Transylvania. He gets protective when a human discovers the hotel, and he becomes interested in his daughter(Selena Gomez).

The film features mummys, skeltons, bats and a cementary. All the creature characters you'll find in a haunted house around Halloween.

This family-comedy was Directed by Genndy Tartakovsky. Look for it in movie theaters on September 21st.

2012 Tribeca Film Festival Opens April 18th-29th: "Once In A Lullaby: The PS22 Chorus Story" Documentary Trailer

"Once In A Lullaby: The PS22 Chorus Story" is a behind the scenes documentary of a Staten Island elementary school choir who became a Youtube success. Because of their popular video, they were chosen to perform at the 2011 Academy Awards ceremony. 

In this documentary, you'll see some of the challenges the students endured from the beginning in New York to the stage at the Oscars.

You can catch this film at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival.

Tribeca Film Festival: "Booker's Place: A Mississippi Story" Trailer

"Booker's Place: A Mississippi Story" is a dramatic documentary about a documentary directed by filmmaker Frank De Felitta in 1960. 

The story unfolds when Director Raymond De Felitta explodes why his father decided to make this film with Booker Wright during segregation in Mississippi.  The director says, he knew there was a story to be told when he met Wright's granddaughter Yvette.

Wright ran a store during the day in Greenwood and he worked a restaurant at night. His participation in NBC's documentary directed by Frank De Felitta had a major impact on his life, and it ended tragically.

This documentary will debut on demand on Thursday,  April 26th at TFF.

"High School" Movie Trailer

"High School" is a comedy about a high school valedictorian and his best friend who uses drugs just days before the principle decides to impose a mandatory drug test.

Their problem escalates when they steal drugs from a local pot head(play by Adrien Brody) to get the entire student body high on brownies laced with marijuana.  In hope of everyone failing the drug test.

"High School" will hit movie theaters on June 1st.
