MTV: 'Hip Hop POV' Premieres April 11th

'Hip Hop POV' is a new music show premiering on MTV April 11th at Midnight.

Catch it Wednesday nights at Midnight

The hour-long show will be hosted by Charlamagne Tha God, Bu Thiam, Devi Dev, Amanda Seales and Sowmya Krishnamurthy, who will conduct interviews with guests about a variety of topics.

MTV could have done a little better with that timeslot, midnight is a little late. I understand the whole late night thing, but it looks like MTV could be "throwing it out there".

MTV's reality show the "Jersey Shore" was taped in a four bedroom house, overlooking the historical Duomo in Florence, Italy.

The fourth season premieres on Thursday(August 4th) at 10 pm on MTV.

Ryan Dunn of MTV's "Jackass" Killed in Crash

Reality Star Ryan Dunn of MTV's series "Jackass" and another person(unidentified) was killed on Sunday night in a car accident in Pennsylvania. 

Dunn was 34.

MTV: Black Hippy Feature - Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab Soul & Jay Rock

I like the way these cats at Top Dawg Entertainment kept it old school and independent - believing in themselves. Songs, production, engineering, videos, you name it they do it under their umbrella.

Clear Label is doing it in "The Bay", Blu Roc is doing at DD127 in NYC, JAMLA is doing in NC, Daptone in Brooklyn, DuckDown NYC and there are a few others that escape me.

My point... take yourselves seriously and assemble all of the pieces you need to compete independently. All of these places have that in common.

Cory Gunz Gets Reality Show on MTV

Rapper Cory Gunz has a new reality show that chronicles his struggles to make it as a star in the Bronx.

Gunz is the son of rapper Peter Gunz, of 90's duo Lord Tariq & Peter Gunz, best known for the hit "Deju Vu."

The show premieres April 28th on MTV.

Schick is the sixth company to pull ads from MTV's "Skins".

The razor company said, the controversial television show is "not aligned" with corporate guidelines.

They join Subway, Taco Bell, H&R Block, Wrigley and GM in pulling out their ads.
