New Orleans in Interviews Monday, December 5, 2011 The film "21 Jump Street" is based on the 80's television show about young undercover cops(Holly Robinson-Peete, Steven Williams, Peter DeLuise, Johnny Depp, Dustin Nguyen and Sal Jenco) who fought youth crimes.
The film picks up where the cancelled undercover program is revised, and a couple of academically challenged cops(Jonah Hill as Schmidt and Channing Tatum as Jenko) are sent from the academy to a condemned building at 21 Jump Street.
Johnny Depp has reprieved his role as officer Tom Hanson.
Rapper/actor Ice Cube stars as Captain Dickson.
It was directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
Opens in theaters on March 16, 2012.

The new season premieres April 24th at 10pm on HBO.

The shows co-creators Eric Overmyer and David Simon and actor Clarke Peters were present to join in the discourse.

The New Orleans based show follows the lives of residents in New Orleans' Treme-section.
Look for the new season to begin in April.
