"The Avengers" Closes Tribeca Film Festival And Premieres in Theaters On May 3rd

Marvel's highly anticipated movie "The Avengers" closed TFF '12 this weekend in NYC. The action packed film stars comic book characters The Hulk(Mark Ruffalo), Captain America(Chris Evans), Iron Man(Robert Downey Jr.) Thor(Chris Hemsworth), Blackwidow(Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye(Jeremy Renner) and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

Look for spectacular effects to help tell the story of a team of superheros bought together to form the Avengers. They fight with special individual super powers to save the earth from Loki and his army.

It'll premiere in theaters on Thursday, May 3rd.

NYC: Street Vendors Say Fines Hurt Business

Street vendors in NYC are being slapped with excessive fines they can't afford to pay. They're fined for little things like having the business license in their pocket instead of wearing it around the neck. The fines start at $1,000 and up.

Today food cart operators marched at City Hall in support of a new bill to lower the fines.

The brick and mortar businesses want them gone. One owner said, "No one ever tells the story of the businessmen" and "someone will just park in front of your store and be a competitor."

TONIGHT: John Forte and Friends Perform At Bowery Ballroom

John Forte and a few of his friends will perform on Sunday night at 9 pm(doors open at 8 pm) at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC.

They'll perform songs featured in the documentary "The Russian Winter"(directed by Petter Ringbom) which premiered at the TFF '12 on Friday.

The documentary follows Forte as a Fugee in Brownsville, Brooklyn to his prison stint in Texas. Finally, he reflects on his collaboration with Russian musicans and charity concert tour in Russia.

"Once In A Lullaby: The PS22 Chorus Story" is a behind the scenes documentary of a Staten Island elementary school choir who became a Youtube success. Because of their popular video, they were chosen to perform at the 2011 Academy Awards ceremony. 

In this documentary, you'll see some of the challenges the students endured from the beginning in New York to the stage at the Oscars.

NY: The Whiskey Blue Bar Serves Up "Bacon and Eggs" Cocktails at The W Hotel

Crispy bacon and eggs aren't served for breakfast in the traditional way at The Whiskey Blue bar at The W Hotel.

They're now serving a cocktail with a slice of bacon and egg whites with a shot of Bourbon, and a lemon rind that creates the look of a sunny side up egg(priced at $16).

This cocktail creations is served in addition to "Waffle and Syrup" and "Blueberry Scone" on the menu.
