Karl-Edwin Guerre feature on Paris New York TV

The always noteworthy photographer and creative Karl-Edwin Guerre is featured in this clip from Paris-New York TV.

To see and learn more about the depth and breadth of inventiveness of KEG head over to his fresh new site Guerrisms.

Definitely one of the people in the fashion and style game who I feel brings a fresh an unrecycled perspective, not only in his photography but his preferences and personal style. I really dug Swagger 360, but I like Guerrisms even more because it opens the door for more expression, with its perfectly branded title.

What's happening wit' it Karl!

Photog Kareem Black on Career, Creativity and Perseverance

Really dig how photographer Kareem Black gives an honest retelling of how he navigated the slower period of his career by following the advice of early mentors.

He refused to develop negative habits or become complacent - instead, he involved himself in creating work which proved to be therapeutic and rejuvenating. The best part... the work lead to his later success.

Because he believed in himself(and his abilities) it allowed others to believe in him... and his work.

Dope.

Feeling these Profoto vids!

Leica Portrait: Jonathan Mannion

When it comes to photography, Jonathan Mannion is a name that you should know and respect.

His work with many pop icons is important because it documents them in a way that is pure and unaltered. While there are poses in much of his work, the artists don't appear to be, they seem natural and at ease.

You either want to be in the photo or you wonder what the subject is thinking. His work communicates to the viewer, forcing you to be active - none of that passive ish.

Watch Jonathan Mannion as he discusses photos from his MILK Gallery Exhibit in 2009:

Manual Photo Cheat Sheet

Miguel Yatco created this graphic to make it easier for amateur photogs and the inexperienced to learn how to move away from using the auto features in their cameras and understand how to use the manual features.

Because I've been working with digital cameras over the years and have experience with SLRs and DSLRs, I really appreciate Miguel for creating this and mymodernmet.com for bringing it to my attention.

Learn more about how to take great photos and Miguel Yatco's inspiration behind the infographic...
