Thailand's Center Point Restaurant: Papaya Salad

Thailand's Center Point was a small grocery store which sold a variety of spices. They've now expanded to a ten table restaurant in Woodside, Queen.  You can expect to see Thai dishes on the menu like Papaya Salad and Duck Curry. These dishes can be made as spicy as you can handle in one meal.

Massimo Galeano, owner of Gradisca Ristorante flew his mother from Italy to make pasta the old school way at his restaurant.

McDonald's to Remodel Stores

Mc Donald's is adopting a more upscale look at part of their marketing strategy to compete in the fast-casual industry. We can also expect to see remodels more frequently.

Expect brighter remodeled exteriors - gone are the golden arches, replaced with a single arch. Interiors will continue to offer Wi-Fi and flat screen TVs, but the dining areas will be used as zones.

With angus burgers and frappes on the menu the hope is that customers in search of a more upscale experience will find it attractive to not only visit, but purchase.

Lucky 7's Chili is a chili recipe created by Lou St. Angelo when the New York Giants won Super Bowl XLII in 2008 at the his restaurant of the same name.

He only serves chili at his MacDougal Street location in New York City.

McDonald's Removes "Pink Slime" From Burgers

McDonald's has decided not to use food additive "Pink Slime" in their hamburger meat.

"Pink Slime"(beef scraps that's been cleaned with ammonia hydroxide) is a filler used in beef.

Afterwards, it's made into beef hamburger patties and other meat products.

The restaurant chain says, "there's no particular incident or reason for removing it."

McDonald's First Commercial with Ronald McDonald

McDonald's shot their very first commercial with the clown Ronald McDonald(Willard Scott) on June 27, 1962.

Scott was a local radio personality who played Bozo the Clown on WRC-TV in Washington, D.C.
