SkiBeatz visited #SwayInTheMorning and he brought along The Seneis to peform a number of selections from 24 Hour Karate School Presents: Twilight.
Sway In The Morning's in-studio Concert Series is a great idea. It provides an avenue for artists to perform their material and allows more fans to be reached.
I recall while Sway (@RealSway) was on Hot 97 in New York City with Rich Nice, they brought singer/musician Van Hunt on air to perform two songs "Down Here In Hell" & " Second of Pleasure" from his newly released slef-titled album. To this day, I like his performance on Sway's show more than the album cuts.
I hope this continues because it showcases Ski Beatz material in the proper context. It shows it not only as music to be listened to but to be performed in a live setting and enjoyed.
I've Tweeted @Skibeatz a number of times and said I believe his ability to arrange is what sets him apart from other producers who have tried what he is doing. I can't be sure whether he got those Tweets but, I am sure that he is taking Hip Hop in a progressive direction that will open more doors for artists to practice their craft, further the art and make a living.
Excuse me while I go listen to more of SkiBeatz's Twilight.
The fourth video single off 24 Hr Karate School presents Twilight. Available NOW.
Ski Beatz(@skibeatz) output of music is prolific. As often as he releases projects there is never anything lacking in the quality of his production and song selection.
Footage of Ski Beatz during his recent visit to Paris, France.(This was when he stepped his instagram game up.)
Watching Ski in this video only proves why he is the perfect ambassador for Hip-Hop music - he's humble, generous with his skills and time and totally embedded into the Hip-Hop culture.
I look forward to seeing more of the footage from his travels during 2011.
If you didn't know Ski Beatz is that dude, now is a good time to play catch up. With a slew of projects forthcoming 2012 will be filled with plenty of Ski Beatz produced product.
Check Ski and Murs again as they ready Love and Rockets. Murs murders the beat... as usual.
