Being the first Souls album in almost 10 years the group decided it was necessary to do something different, so instead of using photography, they went for the "change up" and decided to go with a painting.

Steven Lopez was commissioned to create the Souls of Mischief's Montezuma's Revenge cover art.

If you're not familiar with Lopez, his work spans street art to his collaboration with Erykah Badu (below).

Souls Of Mischief Announce Global Tour, New Album and Release New Track

Souls Of Mischief - LaLaLa mp3

The Souls of Mischief are on that 35 date, Montezuma's Revenge Tour '09. They'll hit the US, Europe and Asia.

19 dates in the US and 16 in Europe, with stops in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Helsinki and Berlin.

They group plans to hit Japan, New Zealand, Canada and the rest of the US next year.

Next...the release of their Prince Paul produced sonic treat, Montezuma's Revenge, on November 10th.

Premier lifestyle and entertainment marketing firm, Audible Treats, is pleased to announce their first Official CMJ 2009 Showcase. The showcase, which will take place at Southpaw in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn on Thursday, October 22nd, will feature a unique mix of legendary, established, and rising hip-hop acts, including headliners Souls Of Mischief, followed by Finale, Oddisee, Kam Moye, Trinity (comprised of AG, SadatX, and DJ Jab), and Jern Eye. Other special guests will be announced in the coming weeks. MYX Music Label's ownKeelay of production duo Keelay & Zaire, will serve as the official DJ for the event. Illa J and Frank Nitt, Finale should be in the building as well.

This official CMJ showcase builds on Audible Treats' foundation as a leader in digital marketing and online and print publicity. Speaking about the inaugural showcase, Audible Treats President and Co-Founder, Michelle McDevitt, said, "We're excited to be able to bring so many top-notch names under one roof while keeping ticket prices low for the fans.
