Nigel Sylvester, Sports in Sports, Video Wednesday, May 2, 2012 On Wednesday, former NFL player Junior Seau was found dead in Oceanside, CA. He was found with a gunshot wound to the chest by his girlfriend. A weapon was found in the home. His death is now being investigated as a suicide. He was 43.
The pro bowler's career started when he was drafted by The Chargers(1990-2002). He later went on to play with The Dolphins from 2003 through 2005. He ended his career with The Patriots (2006- 2009), but he never officially retired from football.

Thursday, March 8, 2012 Last year, The Work To Ride's men's high school polo team won their first National Interscholastic Polo Championship.
They were the first all-black team to win this honor in the exclusive sport.
The small group of players all live in the low income area of West Philadelphia.
They clean stalls and brush down the horses at Fairmount Park through the Work To Ride(a long-term prevention program for inner-city youth in Philadelphia) in exchange for the opportunity to be apart of the youth program.
This month the polo champions will defend their title in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Former New York Mets and Hall of Fame catcher Gary Carter died at age 57 on Thursday.
In May, Carter was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, after his second season as coach at Palm Beach Atlantic University.
Carter was a eleven-time All-Star and three-time Gold Glove winner.
