On Sunday, the Jason Wu Capsule Collection was released at Target.

In hours the limited edition merchandise was sold out in stores and online.

Clothing items were priced at $60 or less.

Some people waited hours for stores to open to make a purchase, others raced to the stores only to find empty clothing racks.

Target to Experiment with Mini-Pop-Up Shops

Target will work in conjunction with a variety of specialty retailers to showcase co-created merchandise to be sold in sections of their stores.

Look for as many as 1800 shops to be in Target stores - the shops begin May 6.

Missoni and Target Celebrate Collaboration with NYC Pop-Up

Missoni's 25-foot doll, "Little Marina" on display at the pop-up store in NYC.Target opens up pop-up store to celebrate their collaboration with fashion house, Missoni.

The store will feature a 25-foot doll clad in Missoni's iconic "zig zag" stitch clothing and a combination of bed and bath products from the Missoni collection at Target.

The pop-up store, located near Bryant Park, opens today, although the collection will not be available until next week - Sept. 13.

Merchandise is expected to sell out quickly and the store will close early - within three days.

The Missoni Collection will premiere on Tuesday, September 13th at Target.

The luxury brand has designed 400 signature items priced from $3 to $600 for the retailer.

The limited items are available in stores or online through October 22nd, some longer it depends on the availability.

Retailers Going High-Tech to Fight Shoplifting Teams

Stores like Target, Wal-Mart, Lowes and Home Depot are gearing up to fight sophisticated shoplifting teams with sophisticated technology.

Because crime rings are hitting multiple stores in a single day and using strategies most stores can't pick up for months, the need to do their own surveillance and investigations - some even have their own crime labs - has increased.

Find out why Walgreens, Toys R' Us and other retailers have taken it upon themselves to gather their own information to assist the police in establish and locate the players in these elaborate crime rings.

Target CEO Talks Prices, Retail Image and Expansion

Gregg Steinhafel, Target President and CEO. Photo: Andy KingTarget CEO Gregg Steinhafel talks about Target's goals to remain competitive with peers like Walmart without sacrificing the shopping experience their customers have come to know.

He explains their plans to open more urban stores and expand into Canada.

Although Target and Walmart are often compared to each other, Steinhafel believes shoppers know the unique differences between both retailers.

He's right... we all know the clothes in Walmart don't come close to anything in Target. There's a difference... a huge one.

I've had people come up to a car I was in and do things like this, only they figured out someone was on the other side of the glass... when I tapped on it!

Target Buying Back iPhones

Target, Radio Shack and other major retailers are getting into the electronics buy back business in a big way. 

When you sell your iPhone or other device, they will give you a credit toward a purchase(if you want cash, you will have to deal directly with the reseller(Target is using NextWorth).

The idea is that you get something for electronics that would otherwise sit at home or wind up in a landfill - for the store it is a way to generate traffic.

Although Target will buy back your iPhone, they won't be able to sell you one...yet.

Target to Begin Holiday Sales Before Black Friday

Target will begin their largest sale of the year before Thanksgiving and Black Friday. Beginning Nov. 21, shoppers will be able to go online to purchase discounted items for four days.

The retailer feels this is their largest Free Shipping event to date.

Target will also have an online-only Thanksgiving Day sale offering items that wont be available at any store.
