She's owned the Country Lane home since 2003 and paid $690,000.

Because she spent more time at the Jericho Close mansion that ex-husband Russell owned, it's not clear what this house was actually used for.

Richard Gere and Wife Carey Lowell Sell Hamptons Home

The celebrity Hollywood couple purchased the 5,500 square feet house in Water Mill, N.Y. in February of 2001. The original price was $2.75 million.

The house was put on the market February of this year for $8.8 million, but, sold for $7.2 million, a third less than the original asking price.

The property sports a heated pool, a guest house and an artist's studio.

They own another home close to the Hamptons in nearby North Haven, N.Y.

Jersey Shore Discounts Attracting Customers From Hamptons

With the recession being so hard on the economy, it's being reported, some are opting for the cheaper alternative to vacationing at the Hamptons...the Jersey Shore.

With price slashes buying or renting down the Jersey Shore is more appealing to those looking to soak up some sun and experience a sea side community.

Some of the towns attracting people are Asbury Park, Spring Lake, Bay Head and Mantoloking. These towns are popular because of their architecture and development.

If anyone has seen the changes in downtown Asbury Park lately, you know what I mean. It has been completely gentrified and works as a viable social center, complete with restaurants, shops, ice cream shops and sponsored activities.

This past weekend there was a classic car show held in downtown Asbury Park.

I guess the cost and the long drive are getting to some... time will tell.

MTV "True Life" To Peer In On Hamptons Living

I guess the same exec who got the idea to do "The Hills" spinoff, "The City" and The Kelis Nas Reality Show(I thought they'd stay together)now has the fresh idea to do a reality show on the Hamptons.

This would have been a great idea... 4 years ago.  

MTV is looking for anyone, who appears(their words) between the ages of 18 and 27,  and is going to be sharing a house at the Hamptons this summer.
