New music from Nottz group DMP. They team up with Slaughterhouse member Joell Ortiz on this one.
Let's hope this paired with the fact that the group should be at SXSW means we are going to get more material from DMP.
Shouts out to the homeys @Khizman and @NottzRaw (follow them on Twitter).
Monday, February 27, 2012 Fam-lay returns with the first-person shot, video game-styled video.
There's always a wait between songs, but when the Virginia veteran releases music, it never disappoints - beats always go hard and rhymes are always that next level ish.

The Beat Tape Project - "The Smooth Grooves Beat Tape" | Download
The Beat Tape Project and Producers I Know collaborated to create a project that shows Hip-Hop production is multifaceted and has evolved. This project focuses on the smooth, syncopated, groovie driven aspect of the music - the more musical dimension.
Good move fellas.
I've communicated with both of these brothers on Twitter and have to tell you, if any two people are making strides to advance Hip-Hop culture and the role of the producer it is @producersIKnow and @digitalhustler.
Shouts to Hec Dolo(@Hekdolo), I see he's on the project.

Monday, February 6, 2012 Nottz(@nottzraw) does a great job of updating an older style of songwriting without doing anything gimmicky to make it contemporary.
Shateish lays down a gut wrenching vocal performance interpreting pain, hurt and disappointment.

Virginia Beach native Kee'on Jones drops melodic flows over boom-bap drums reminiscent of Frank Ocean with serious rapping skills. His writing is rhythmic, descriptive and visual, never sacrificing melody for rhythm.

I said it in my last DMP post, Nottz making this group a priority is a good move.
I'm not surprised at the production or Nottz flipping what he sampled, what I'm impressed by the most is the group's ability to work with the topic of Angry Birds yet remain on topic.
As I listened to their idea of what Angry Birds are I thought, "Dope."
DMP y'all.

Thursday, September 15, 2011 Nottz has been serious about this DMP project and it's good to see an idea come to fruition.
Good move... good chemistry.
